Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce referenced his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show Monday (January 13).

Kelce, 35, said "I'm feeling 22 all over again," when asked by McAfee how he was feeling coming off the bye week ahead of the Chiefs' upcoming AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans, which was caught by the host who began singing Swift's song '22' from her 2012 album Red.

"I was hoping you caught the reference, baby," Kelce said to McAfee, before adding that he was "ready to rock and roll" for Saturday's (January 18) game.

Kelce finished the 2024 regular season with 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns, which included surpassing Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez's previous franchise record of 76 during the Chiefs' Christmas Day win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, his final game of the season, having rested in Week 18. The three-time Super Bowl champion also caught his 1,000th career reception during, now ranking 14th all-time with 1,004 catches made in 12 seasons.

Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023. Swift later said that the three-time Super Bowl champion "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his New Heights podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.

The Chiefs are coming off back-to-back Super Bowl victories and have won in three of the last five years.
